i started playing the queens gambit against 1. d4 d5 and it has like single handedly raised my elo by 100 points. people at my level just go "ooh free pawn" and have no idea what is coming for them

the current state of my repertoire is that as white i play d4, if they respond with d5 i play the queens gambit, if they do anything else i play the london system. as black against e4 i play caro-kann and i recently switched from the king's indian to the dutch defense for everything else. i see 1000 elo in my very near future
